Last night we watched an excellent talk by Jon Kabat-Zinn on mindfulness and stress reduction. It was so full of wisdom that I plan to watch it again this weekend to see what I missed.
Perhaps my favourite moment from this first watching was the reminder that each breath is an opportunity to start again, an opportunity to pause and reflect, and to choose our response.
Responding rather than reacting takes practice.
An awful lot of practice.
Thankfully we do an awful lot of breathing too….
