Closer To My Goal...?
Is this thing I’m doing right now moving me closer to my goal ?
It’s a useful question, but one that assumes that we are 100% clear on our goals. Some days we think we are - we know where we’re ultimately heading, and we can tell if this will get us there - but other days we’re not so sure. And it’s those latter days that lead to bigger questions - are there fundamental problems with the goal, or are we just too deep in the work to see the bigger picture ?
Sometimes, checking-in with our goals is more important than doing the work that may or may not be getting us there…
