Contradictory Inspiration...

In reviewing inspirational quotes and advice about goals I discovered:

- Deadlines are crucial, so long as we ignore timescales;
- We need to aim for the stars (but only realistic and achievable ones);
- It’s important to follow our passion, so long as we don’t follow it too much.

So why is this advice so contradictory ?

Probably (and thankfully) because different people achieve different things in different ways, and while we can get useful ideas from other people, but they won’t be working on our goals.
