Decisions vs Destiny…

I’m about half-way through ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho, and it has got me thinking about destiny.

Looking back through one lens, it is inevitable that I would end up here, as the person I am now, based on the decisions I have taken through my life.

But, looking through a different lens, most of those decisions were not taken with this life in mind - in fact some of them headed me in completely the opposite direction.

So, was my destiny to always be here, and my decisions were largely irrelevant, or is my destiny the outcome of my decisions, and with different decisions, my destiny could have been completely different.

I don’t have an answer, but I am loving the question….
