Doing The Things We Don't Like...
I prefer to read books the traditional way, rather than on a screen or as an audiobook, but a little while ago I downloaded one because I felt I needed to start reading it straight away. It met the need - I was able to start reading (and getting the benefit) immediately - but the further I read, the more I remembered why I don’t like the format.
This isn’t a criticism of electronic or audiobooks - we’re all different, and for many people they are by far the best solution - but more a reflection on the fact that sometimes it’s worth doing the things we say we don’t like, just to see if anything has changed. Maybe we’ll discover something new, or at worst, realise that what we’re doing is still okay…
