Focus On What We CAN Do...
As I get older, the list of things I can’t do grows longer - my body complains at too much physical exertion, I can’t work the hours I did 5 or 10 years ago, and I haven’t had an uninterrupted night’s sleep in years.
BUT, I can still enjoy long walks and re-build lost stamina, I can use my years of experience to work more effectively, and I can adapt my night-time routines to maximise the quality of sleep I do get.
It’s easy to focus on our problems and complain about the things we can no longer do, but what’s the point of that ? It makes far more sense to focus on what we CAN do instead - and we might just discover a new talent or two that our old habits were covering-up…
