If I wanted to feel really frustrated, I would take something that happened, and I would turn it over and over in my head. I would constantly replay the most frustrating bits and I would imagine all the ways I could have handled it but didn’t. Yes, if I wanted to drive myself insane with frustrating thoughts, that’s what I would do, and I know it would work, because that’s how I have spent my week.
And if I wanted to avoid frustration ?
I would calmly review the situation, I would remove my pride from the equation, I would decide on the best way forward, and I would take action. And I know that would work too, because that’s what I did for the hundred things that didn’t drive me insane this week.
Review. Decide. Act. Because anything else is simply a waste of your time…
