Hundreds And Hundreds Of Times...

They’re going to build houses on a field that I have walked past hundreds and hundreds of times, and right now they are preparing the land and clearing the hedges. As they’ve cleared the bushes and hedges, they have revealed a small brook that was hidden from view, about 8 feet from the path I’ve walked on hundreds and hundreds of times. It has been there for decades by the look of it, and I never even suspected it was there, on my hundreds and hundreds of walks past….

Maybe today is the day to slow down, and perhaps even stop for a moment and look around - just because we’ve done that thing hundreds and hundreds of times before, it doesn’t mean we are seeing everything that’s there….
