Yesterday I wrote about the constant course corrections needed to sail a boat to its ultimate destination, as an analogy for our journey through personal change.

But what if you don’t have a boat ? What if, especially at the moment, you feel that you have little more than a rubber ring ? Well…

We can still practice gratitude (that we at least have a rubber ring), we can practice acceptance (of our situation and our lack of control), we can practice compassion (for those who don’t even have a rubber ring), and we can take responsibility for our future, and begin building a boat for the next time the waters rise…
