Inconceivable !
My default expectation is that my beautifully crafted plan will go wrong, that my brilliant idea has a bus-sized hole in it, or that my timings are going to be way off.
It’s not that I am being overly negative (in fact many of my actions DO go exactly to plan), it is just that by expecting there to be a problem, I can make sure that I have an alternative plan to fall back on, (or at least that I have opened my mind to the possibility that I will need a Plan B).
Never confuse an expectation of problems with an excuse for not getting started or not giving it your best shot - strength comes from overcoming challenges - but as Vizzini found to his cost, expecting your plan to be infallible is only asking for trouble…
