Intentional planning...
Being intentional about how we plan our days isn’t just about crafting the ‘perfect day’ or doing our best creative work - it can also stop a poor start to the day from unraveling further.
Take this morning - I got up way later than normal (I over-indulged yesterday and suffered for it overnight), and I just discovered an appointment in my diary that I had completely forgotten - both ingredients for one of those days that could unravel into doing nothing important.
But that’s where intentional journaling comes in - my daily habits mean that I will still achieve some personal development, and taking a few minutes to journal and plan my key 4 tasks means that I know exactly where to focus my time, even though that time is less than expected.
A bad start to the day doesn’t have to mean that the whole day is lost, and a few minutes taken to create an intentional plan helps keep you on track when the world around you is trying its best to de-rail you…
