And of course, the opposite is true too - how we treat people is our karma; how they react is theirs - but the difference with this side of the coin is that we are the ones initiating the contact, and therefore have much a much greater chance of influencing the outcome.

We can’t control how people will react, but we can give kindness and respect a fighting chance of being the reactions we receive…
