Learning, Progressing and Achieving...
Jay Shetty says that ”happiness comes when we are learning, progressing and achieving”, which explains why I felt so unhappy towards the end of my corporate career - after 20 years there was little new to learn, the only progression was to places I didn’t want to go, and I rarely felt any sense of achievement.
It also explains why I am definitely happier now - I have a daily learning practice, I can see how far I have come since I began, and there are plenty of milestones and feedback that make me proud.
And the best part ?
Once we get the basics right, there is always more to learn, further to progress and greater achievements to work towards…
