Lessons Take Time...

Regular readers will know that I often draw on my past ‘corporate life’ to make a point, illustrate an idea, or share a learning. What I don’t explicitly point out is that there were relatively few ‘aha !’ moments - most of the lessons took a while to learn, many of them years, some even the full two decades.

None of us has all of the answers or every bit of the experience we need to make the perfect decision, and there probably won’t be a ‘eureka !’ moment that’s going to suddenly make everything OK.

No, some lessons just take years to learn, so the most important thing is to just get started - because who knows, maybe the decisions and actions we take today might be the missing piece of a lesson we’ll learn five years from now….
