Making a List...
Have you ever noticed how, when things start to get really busy or out of control, we invariably make a list.
Nothing fancy or artistic, no detailed plans or dependencies, no apps or mind-maps, just a piece of paper and a list of everything that needs to get done.
And for me, those pre-holiday/Q4 Actions/Christmas-prep/‘Right Then !’ lists lead to my greatest bursts of productivity.
I can’t decide whether that’s telling me that anything other than a list is procrastination, or that I need to find a way to reprogram my default behaviour so that I never need that list, but this morning I made one of those lists, and right now I’m working though it one task at a time…
