Mastery...
The more we do of something - the more we practice, the deeper we learn - the better we get. That’s the route to mastery, right ?
I walk every day, and over the last 8 years I have probably walked close to 10,000 miles. But I’m not sure I’d call myself a Master Walker - sure, my fitness levels have improved, and I can walk longer distances than I used to, but it’s still just walking. I don’t walk to ‘master’ it, I walk because it gives me the time and space to think, with the added benefit of extra fitness.
Not everything has to lead to mastery - sometimes it’s okay to do something because, well, we just like doing it….
