More and/or Better*
For quite a while now, my focus has been on doing more and doing better - trying to fit more and more into my days, trying to get more and more efficient, all the time trying to improve the quality of the work I do.
But trying to do more and better is unsustainable in the long-term - there comes a point where the choice turns into quantity or quality, numbers or impact, reach or purpose.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to do more, especially when you know in your heart of hearts that you are not doing enough, but once you’ve improved the average and eliminated the unnecessary, it’s no longer about more and better - the choice becomes more or better….
