More Or Better...

For a long time my focus was on doing more and doing better - trying to fit more and more into my days by trying to become more and more efficient, all the time trying to improve the quality of the work I do. But I have come to realise that doing more and better is unsustainable in the long-term - there comes a point where the choice becomes quantity or quality, numbers or impact, reach or purpose.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to do more, especially when we know in our heart of hearts that we are not doing as much as we are could, but once we’ve improved the average and eliminated the unnecessary, it’s no longer about more and better - the choice becomes more or better….
