Obstacles...

A few years ago I applied for a business grant. My proposal didn’t make it though the first phase. The word ‘weak’ was used…

I could have stopped there. I could have told myself that they just didn’t get what I was trying to do. I could have decided that my idea wasn’t that great after all.

But I tried again. I took responsibility for doing a better job of explaining what I was trying to achieve. I did more work on my idea, finding the weak spots and making them stronger.

I applied again and got the grant.

Sometimes obstacles aren’t there to stop us - sometimes they’re put in our way to see just how much we want to get to get past them…
