Opportunity Isn't A Place...

I once overheard a conversation where one young guy was explaining to another that he was moving away ‘because a bigger city means more opportunities’. It made we want to put my hands on his shoulders and look him squarely in the eye (which, apparently, you are not allowed to do to strangers in coffee-shops…) and tell him that we all have more opportunity than at any other time in human history, and he could literally sit in that coffee-shop and create a global, on-line business in the time it takes to drink a few cappuccinos.

Opportunity isn’t a place, it’s a state of mind…
