Peeling Back The Layers...
I have one supplier who packages deliveries so ‘robustly’ that if the planet were hit by an asteroid during transit, survivors, thousands of years from now, would be able to open the package, and find the contents undamaged.
I’m willing to bet that they, like me, had a few damaged deliveries in the dim and distant past, and so now, EVERY package is able to withstand a dinosaur-extinction-level event. I’m also willing to bet that the number of deliveries that actually need this level of packaging is tiny.
Every time something bad happens, we add another layer of protection. Maybe it’s time to peel a few layers back and see if we still need it…
