Prioritisation...

Prioritisation...
A handwritten page inside an open notebook

Some suggest that to help us prioritise and focus, we imagine that this is our last day on earth, and then decide which of the things in front of us is the most important to work on. I’ll be honest, that doesn’t really work for me - if this were my last day I wouldn’t be doing any of them because I’d be far too busy spending time with my family.

A better idea might be to imagine we’re looking back on our lives, many, MANY years from now, and ask ourselves what bigger things we would like to have achieved, built and experienced, because when we have that answer, prioritisation becomes as simple as asking ourselves which of the things on our list is going to get us closer to that vision…?
