Questions...

Yesterday I (virtually) met a new guy who would be doing some work for our business. I went through my standard spiel about the work, in lots of detail, providing answers to the questions I knew he would ask before he even asked them. I felt pretty smart…

…right up to the point that he asked a question that I had never considered, and no-one else had ever asked - an important question which needed a lot of thought to answer.

All too often we view questions from others as a challenge to what we know - maybe it would be better to view them as an opportunity to learn more…
