These pages are relatively neat, but look at my private daily journal pages and the section that captures my random thoughts looks like a drunken spider has walked through an ink puddle. In fact, even I sometimes struggle to read what I have written, and I was the one who wrote it !
But that’s OK, because a daily journaling habit doesn’t have to be for keeping a record of things we want to remember, it can just be to work out what we’re really thinking in that moment, or for clarifying our ideas, understanding our emotions, or maybe just giving ourselves a kick up the backside.
Writing Things Down helps.
