Reading until the very last page...
It happened again.
An idea on page 212 of the book I’m reading made me stop and think, really think, in a way that challenges a pretty big assumption I’ve made.
I know I can read a book electronically. I know I can read a summary of the whole book in an app. I know, as Seth Godin would say, that I can stop reading a book as soon as I ‘get the joke’. I know that I can listen to my books, and I know I can read a hundred articles in the same time as it takes to read one book….
I know all of those things, but it’s the random insights, the odd sentences, and the ideas hidden away on page 212 that keep me reading real books until the very last page…
