Rose-Tinted...?

When things are a bit more challenging than usual, we can find ourselves putting on our rose-tinted spectacles and looking back at the past. And when we do, we can generally find a time when we had lots of the thing that we’re currently missing (time, money, control, etc).

The problem is, our rose-tinted spectacles tend to filter out the bad things that were associated with those resources (the stress that came with the salary, the loneliness and boredom that came with too much time on our hands).

Looking back to the past can be a wonderful source of confidence and knowledge, but we need to take off the rose-tinted spectacles first…
