Spinning Plates...

Back in my corporate days, I used to describe my job as being just like a circus act spinning plates - whether it was clients, projects or people, the goal was to do just enough to stop any one from falling, and experience (hopefully) taught you to spot the wobbling ones before they fell.

This morning I realised that life is like spinning plates too - we have so many commitments and responsibilities that it’s all about trying to make sure that nothing falls and breaks. One way is to rush around like mad trying to keep them all spinning - maybe a better way is to decide whether you need to keep some of them spinning at all…
