The Path No-one Else Is Taking...

Our parents were the masters of delayed gratification - save for the best and then make it last. Work hard for 40-odd years to enjoy a few years of retirement. 

Our children are being taught instant gratification - buy it cheap and get it delivered the same day. Create stuff fast and often and get the most ‘likes’. 

Perhaps the better plan seeks balance between two extremes - work hard but take plenty of opportunities to enjoy the moment. Create thoughtful content that builds a deeper connection.

It takes courage and determination to take the path that no-one else seems to be taking, but then again, maybe we don’t want what everyone else is rushing to get….
