Unequal Balance...

I think that running a business is a balance between profit and customer satisfaction - focus too much on making money and you’ll lose your customers, give customers everything they ask for and you risk operating at a loss.

The same is true for work-life balance (career vs family), healthy eating (nutrition vs pleasure) and exercise (effort vs recovery) - the pursuit of any worthwhile endeavour needs to be balanced between its extremes, or risk doing more harm than good.

But balance doesn’t mean that both sides have to be equal. There’s more than one way to achieve balance, and sometimes it comes from learning how to arrange things a different way…
