When It's Not About Me...
When someone ignores my cheery ‘Good Morning’, I remind myself that it’s not about me. When I get a challenging comment on one of my posts, I know that it’s probably not about me. When someone rejects my business with a dismissive word, that’s fine, because deep down, it’s not about me.
When I’m having a bad day, I must not be rude to the call centre, because it’s not about me. When the algorithm hides my work, it’s OK if I just reach one person, because it’s not about me. When I’m tired and stressed and someone needs to talk, it’s absolutely not about me.
I think the day I started feeling happier was the day I started to realise that it’s not about me…
