Who do you listen to ?

Author : Creates the story and brings events into existence - “I hope I can catch the ball”

Narrator : Tells the story of what is happening or has happened. “I caught the ball” or “I didn’t catch the ball”.

Commentator : Analyses and expresses opinions on what has happened. “What an idiot - meant to catch the ball but fumbled it completely. My grandma could have caught that and she’s 92.”

All too often we listen to the Commentator in our head, but with focus and patience we can learn to hear the Narrator instead - and maybe with time we can teach the Author to write a better story of how we learnt to always catch the ball…
