Page Templates/Layouts

William Hannah Templates

Many of our page layouts and diaries are available for you to download free of charge, and print at home, thanks to the generosity and support of Steve Morton at philofaxy

The templates can be accessed from this page. They have been split by size (A5 and A6) and then by type (PDF or PAGES).

Fixed layouts (Annual Diaries, To Do, Lined, etc) are provided as .pdf files and can be accessed and printed on any computer.

Variable start-date files (100 Day packs, 6 Month Diaries, etc) are supplied as .pages files, which can only be used on an Apple computer. They are largely self-explanatory  - you change the start date on the title page, and the pack updates all of the dates. I have not provided one or two of the packs (6 Month Vertical Diary for example) because these were particularly complex to change and update.

A5 pages are designed to be printed double-sided on A5 paper.

A6 pages are designed to be printed double sided on A5 paper and the guillotined down the middle to make 2 x A6 pages. Most of the A6 files are designed to be printed with short-edge-binding - they 'flip' on the short-edge, not the long-edge of the paper. This will be a setting in your printer that will need to be set before each print - most normal double-sided printing is done with long-edge binding by default.

The templates are provided as-is and are UNSUPPORTED - sorry, but I cannot provide any help in making changes, or making them work on your computer/printer. As with all of the files on Philofaxy, they are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Unported License. You can download, adapt, use, and share, but NOT charge or use commercially.

Other Templates

There are many other great templates available in A5 and A6 on the philofaxy site, and these should work well with your William Hannah notebook once punched.

There are also a number of other companies that provide templates for discbound and other binding systems - either pre-printed or as downloads for you to print at home. You need them to be for true A5 paper (210mm x 148mm) otherwise they will stick out from the top, side or bottom of your notebook when closed.

I would encourage you to join the William Hannah User Group on Facebook as a place to share good templates, and learn about new sources.

Design Your Own

I created almost all of these templates myself at home, with a little bit of knowledge, a word-processing package (i.e. Apple Pages), and some trial-and-error. Just use a cheap photocopier paper cut down to A5 when testing because you'll be surprised how unpredictable computers and printers are, and how much 'good' paper you could waste...
