Shipping Update : July/August 2020
We have recently returned from our annual summer shutdown, and this year we used that time to take a much-needed family holiday to Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands. Unfortunately, on 25th July, 3 days before our return flight, the UK Government unexpectedly announced that because of the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in a few areas of mainland Spain, all arrivals from Spain must self-isolate at home for 14 days, regardless of whether they were near the affected areas or not (we were not - we were staying in a private villa on one of the Spanish Canary Islands, with only limited, socially-distanced interactions with locals).
Our self-isolation period will end on Tuesday 11th August 2020, and so, unless otherwise requested, we will not ship your order until after that date.
We will, of course, be adhering to the requirement to self-isolate at home, but because William Hannah is a home-based business, we would be still able prepare your order whilst self-isolating. Furthermore, because we need no physical contact with our delivery couriers, they could still collect our shipments as normal. We will continue to practice good hygiene when processing orders, and will also introduce a few extra measures to minimise risks further.
We are therefore able to ship orders as normal for customers who wish us to do so. However, we strongly believe that it should be YOUR decision if you want us to ship your order before 12th August, so we are giving customers three choices :-
- We wait until the required self-isolation period is complete before preparing and shipping your order (your order will ship after 12th August, and where possible/practical we will upgrade to Express shipping)
- We ship your order as normal, in the next couple of days
- We prepare you order now, but hold it in quarantine for 72 hours, before arranging for collection by our delivery courier
The default option will be to ship from 12th August onwards, unless you request Option 2 or 3 in the 'Special Instructions' during checkout.
Please Note : Orders containing Bespoke products are unaffected - because they take 7-10 working days, and are made elsewhere, they would not normally ship until 12th August onwards anyway.
