A route to greater happiness...
I believe that we all have a set of core values - an internal list of rules and beliefs, built through time and experience, that we use as our filter on the world - some are crystal-clear and others more difficult to articulate, but they are there, governing our actions and colouring our view of the world.
Doing, saying or seeing things that don’t match our core values makes us unhappy - from nagging doubts to sleepless nights, I can generally track the cause to a mis-alignment with one or more of my core values.
So whether you agree or not, why not try writing down and then following your own set of core values ? At worst you’ll understand yourself a little better, but at best, you might just find a route to greater happiness…
