Advice Or Permission...

Someone posted in one of the entrepreneurial groups I used to be a member of about how difficult their on-line trading had been recently, along with a very long list of all of the problems they had been having. They wanted advice on whether to persevere, or give up.

The thing is, we’ve all done it - when faced with a big/difficult/scary decision, we look for ways to let ourselves off the hook. We pretend we’re asking for advice, when what we’re really asking for is permission.

But we don’t grow by getting others to make our decisions for us - growth comes from overcoming our challenges, not by getting someone else’s permission to avoid them completely….
