Core Principle 12 - Fun, Freedom and Flexibility

I don’t expect every day to be a party, or to LOVE everything I have to do, but if, on the balance of things, I’m not enjoying what I do, it’s time for a correction or two.

When I worked for someone else, I was never truly in control of what needed to be done, so if I find myself trapped by my workload, it’s time to ask ‘why exactly am I doing this again...?’.

And if I find myself stuck in my ways, or refusing a request because that’s just not how it’s done, then it’s time to ask myself ‘why not ?’

So maybe my 3 F’s sound more like a holiday brochure than a Core Principle, but I’ve found that these three words are an easy way to check if this thing I call work is going the right way.....
