I’m looking at my goals for 2021, and it seems like I can set them at one of three levels :
Level 1 - Fear
Set the bar so low that there is no chance of failure, but no achievement worth having either.
Level 2 - Comfort
Push myself a little, but not too hard, maybe with one foot outside my comfort zone.
Level 3 - Potential
Set the bar high with goals I know, deep down, that I can achieve, but that will require the best of me to do so.
I stopped setting Level 1 goals years ago when I left the corporate world behind, so this year I’ll probably go with my usual mix of Levels 2 and 3. In fact, after the year we’ve just had, the biggest question is how many Level 3 goals can I fit in…
