Improvement...
I am rebuilding our office workbenches; the current workbenches have been assembled and re-assembled many times, and the worktops are full of holes in all the wrong places - sometimes through necessity, but often through error. This time I have been DETERMINED to get the worktops right. I have planned. I have measured. I have trialled. I have purchased new tools. I have measured again. And then again. Twice.
Yesterday I took a step back to admire my handiwork and the worktops are perfect - level, stable, and not an extra hole in sight. Pity I put the shelves underneath at completely the wrong height….
Focusing on improvement is a noble aim - but sometimes it’s best to remember that it’s not the only thing that matters…
