'Inspirational' Goals...
I was researching inspirational quotes about goals this morning, and discovered the following :
1. Deadlines are critical, so long as we ignore timescales;
2. We need to aim for the stars (but only the realistic and achievable ones);
3. It’s important to follow our passion, so long as we don’t ignore our purpose to do so….
So why is this advice so contradictory ?
Probably (and thankfully) because different people achieve different things in different ways - sure we can get useful ideas from other people, but they won’t be working on our goals, we will…
So, if you are setting your goals (and creating a plan to achieve them), it might be useful if you start with what has worked before, either the next level of something already achieved, or re-using a successful process on a new area of focus.
It may not be ‘inspirational’, but it probably does have a greater change of success…
