Learning Lessons...

Regular readers will know that I often draw on my past ‘corporate life’ to make a point, illustrate an idea, or share a learning. What I don’t explicitly point out is that there were relatively few ‘aha !’ moments - most of the lessons took a long time to learn, many of them years, some even the full two decades.

None of us has all of the answers or every bit of the experience we need to make the perfect decision, and no ‘eureka !’ moment is going to suddenly make everything OK. No - some lessons just take years to learn, so the most important thing is to just get started, because who knows, the decisions and actions we take now might be the missing piece of a critical lesson we’ll finally learn ten years from now….
