Letting Go Of Should...
It’s all too easy to get frustrated because of the gap between how we thought our day would go and how it is actually going - for example, today I overslept, I’ve had some important, unexpected stuff to deal with, and my morning routine is all over the place, but getting frustrated is only going to spoil the rest of the day
There’s nothing wrong with setting expectations - they are what drive us forward - but we need to remember to be flexible when life decides it has other plans for our day.
So for me, a pause, a coffee, some reflection and a little bit of gratitude are, I think, what is required - because sometimes letting go of what should be happening is the only way to really enjoy what is actually happening….
