Making It Work...
Yesterday I fitted doors to the shelving units in our storeroom. It wasn’t easy. Between me buying the shelves just over a year ago and me buying the matching doors on Tuesday, the normally reliable IKEA had ever so slightly moved some holes, and they simply didn’t fit.
I swore a lot, I tried a bit of brute force, I read and re-read the instructions, all to no avail. Fortunately I’ve put enough flat-pack furniture together to know where I needed to drill new holes to make it all work, and today I have some lovely storage units with some lovely doors.
Just because something always worked before doesn’t mean it always will, but trust yourself, you have enough experience to make it work, and your way might not even need a cordless drill…
