Life's like riding a bike...
When you teach your kids to ride a bicycle, one of the first lessons is teaching them how NOT to ride into a lamp post.
You see, telling them to “watch out for that lamp post” means they suddenly can’t take their eyes off it, and since a bicycle goes where you look, they end up riding straight into it.
Instead you have to teach them to know that it’s there, but to focus on the route AROUND IT instead.
It’s a valuable lesson to teach them for life too - greater happiness and success will always come from focusing on where you do want to go, not on where you don’t….
