A few days ago I started keeping a habit tracker for three behaviours I want to improve - green is on track, orange is not quite on track, and red is most definitely off-track.
One of them is mostly green. One is 50/50. The other is all red.
Rather than discouraging me, the amount of non-green feels oddly motivating, because I’m imagining myself looking at a blocks of all-green in the future and taking pride from how rocky my start was.
Some changes merely need us to begin, but sometimes the most important changes need us to be honest with ourselves about where we’re starting from…
