Perseverance...

"Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did." - Newt Gingrich

This is still one of my all-time favourite quotes, because it sums up the days when I’m just not ‘feeling it’ but I know that there is still important work to be done.

I realised a long time ago that responsibility and perseverance go hand in hand - and both are a choice that we get to make every time the easiest thing to do is give up.

Perseverance builds strength, and strength helps us to live up to our responsibilities - not only those to others, but our responsibility to ourselves to make this day better than the day before.

Easy doesn’t get you anywhere worth going.
