Planning to succeed...
We set goals all of the time - some huge (build a million-pound business) and others tiny (finish today’s Daily Post by 10:00am); some huge ones we complete successfully (finish an Ironman Triathlon), and some tiny ones we fail completely (don’t eat any chocolate today is one I fail pretty regularly…).
I have found that having a powerful ‘why’ is a major factor in helping us to achieve our goals, but maybe what I hadn’t fully realised, until I read about it this morning, is that having a proper plan of how you are going to achieve your goals is pretty fundamental for success too.
And that got me thinking - we often think of learning as acquiring the ‘new’, but sometimes it’s about understanding why the ‘old’ worked so successfully (or maybe why it didn’t…).
