Back when I used to play computer games as a teenager (yes kids, they did have computers back then), it was always a balance between pushing on towards the end the next level and stopping to save your progress - too much saving and your flow was lost, too little and you risked having to go back a very long way when your luck ran out. Old computer games and life right now have a lot in common - admittedly there are less gorillas kidnapping princesses, but there are plenty of opportunities to push things a little too far, and risk losing your progress to date.
So there’s nothing wrong with spending some time saving your progress (and making sure your foundations are solid) - after all, none of us knows how difficult this next level is going to be….
