The tougher the journey....

Today is the last UK Pen Show of the year (it’s in Sheffield if you’re passing).

I’ll be honest, I really don’t enjoy the pre-show preparation of stock, I find the setting up of my display a bit of a chore, and packing up at the end seems to take ages when all I want to do is be at home.

But the bit in the middle - meeting new customers, talking with existing ones, seeing how well-loved notebooks have aged, and understanding how customers use their notebooks on a day-to-day basis - is totally, utterly and completely WONDERFUL.

Yes - Pen Shows are like so many things of the best things in life - the tougher the journey, the more worthwhile the destination….
