What's the reason...?
When I started William Hannah, someone told me that ‘the way to do the pages’ in my notebooks was to only offer one type of paper (grey lined), and to get loads of it printed at once to keep costs down. I decided to offer 10 different colours of line (and dots and grids) and print them one notebook at a time. If the goal was cost reduction, their way was better. If the goal was customer choice, then my way offered more.
Doing things for the right reason makes it easier to accept the results. Doing things without knowing or caring about the reason ? Well, maybe that’s where our frustration lives….
