Back in 2003, had I asked myself if I would ever get the top job in the company I worked for, I would have said no, because my boss told me I lacked some of the most critical skills. Back around 2008, could I have imagined completing an Ironman triathlon ? No - I was overweight and got out of breath walking to the sandwich shop at lunchtime. At any time in the first 14 years of my corporate career did I think I would build my own business ? Again, no - as a corporate man through and through, I lacked the skills and the desire.
I did all three.
What are you telling yourself (or someone is telling you) you cannot do, and more importantly, when are you going to realise that you can….?
